GOC1901770-CS - Steel Panels Performance Review and Repair

Galvanized steel panels have been suspended over the mechanical through-way roof to protect the roof from falling snow and ice in the winter.  Several of the panels are rusting prematurely likely due to scouring from falling ice.  Multiple panels are also significantly deformed from ice impacts.  The project will seek to address both issues.  Review the existing conditions and propose walkways or an alternative snow roof construction which is designed to resist the ice and snow impact loads without deformation.  Consider alternate materials such as stainless steel or epoxy coated products which may provide improved resistance to weathering effects and scouring.  A modular design similar to what is currently installed is preferred for easy replacement and so that it can be implemented in phases as necessary.  The majority of the currently installed panels are in good condition and are to be preserved if possible.
