Full replacement of existing deteriorated asphalt shingles located on main building 1 story RCMP detachment and provincial double bay garage. Supply all materials and labour necessary for new Main Building roof and double bay garage. Scope includes:
 
remove/strip existing shingles, including fasteners and roofing membrane. Inspect sheathing, ensure surface is firm and dry, without ridges, warps or voids and properly fastened. Any damaged sheathing is to be replaced and new asphalt shingle to match as closely as possible with existing. Vent pipes and other accessories projecting through the roof must be in place and roof flashing installed prior to shingling. Install ice and water membrane underlay for the entire roof surface including valleys. At eaves, use a starter course of shingles, tabs reversed, overhang 1/2". Install ridges & roof vents prior to shingling, nail as per manufacturer's directions. Shingles to be Architectural style, individually tabbed strip shingle, mineral surfaced asphalt with fiberglass felts, 30 year manufacturer's warranty at a minimum. Contractor is responsible for any damage to the property or building, as a result of construction activities. Drip edge and flashing to be replaced during the course of the roof replacement, color of drip edge to closely match with the existing fascia ; eavestroughs replacement not included in scope of work, contractor responsible to cleaning any debris from eavestroughs.
