GOC418021 & GOC450205-CONTRACTOR-LUS - Install a Storm Lead on the Front South Canopy & Building Exterior Cladding Impr

GOC418021:
Work of this Contract comprises provision of buried storm drain pipe and area drain to connect an existing above ground catch basin to existing below grade catch basin. A brief description of scope of work is as follows:
1. Applying for plumbing permit with the City of Sault Ste. Marie including payment of all associated fees and charges (permit, drain testing, inspection, right of way, tie-in fees, etc.).
2. Excavation and backfilling in paved and grassed areas for provision of new storm drain line.
3. Provision of temporary fencing, signs and screen to protect pedestrian traffic from construction area.
4. Provision of area drain suitable for outdoor applications.
5. Associated cutting, patching and painting.
 
GOC450205:
As outlined in this document and illustrated on the accompanying drawings, the
Work shall generally include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:
.1 Exterior Masonry Repairs and Repointing:
1. At the second floor windows, where the precast concrete sills have been displaced, re-set the concrete sills, rake out and repoint the mortar joints. Rake out and repoint all mortar joints between the precast concrete sills on all elevations around the entire building. Rake out and repoint the mortar bed joints beneath the precast concrete sills.
2. Repoint the mortar bed joints at the base of the brick walls. Replace any damaged or deteriorated    brick found with matching brick of same size and colour.
3. Repoint the mortar joints between the two soldier courses of brick above the ground floor windows.
4. Replace damaged brick and repoint mortar at loading dock door at the east side of the building.
5. Replace brick and repoint mortar at three locations where brick had been removed at the south and west elevations.
6. Replace all sealants at masonry control joints.
.2 Exterior Repainting:
1. Remove the peeling paint and repaint the steel lintels above the ground floor windows.
2. Remove the peeling paint and repaint the metal flashings at the base of the brick walls.
.3 Window Repairs:
1. Remove the existing sealant and aluminium caps from around the windows.
2. Remove the existing metal flashings at the base of the windows.
3. Remove the air/vapour barrier membrane and remove any fibrous insulation from around the window frames.
4. Install low expansion sprayfoam insulation to fill voids between the window frames and rough openings.
            5. Install backer rod and sealant around the window frames.
6. Reinstall the existing metal flashings at the base of the windows.
7. Reinstall the existing aluminium caps.
