Statement of Work/Overview:
GOC991550 Replace the 3 MCC Units and Starter Renewal:
Three (3) Main Motor Control Center (MCC) units are located within this facility. The first unit (MCC #1) is located in the main electrical room on P1. MCC #2 and MCC #3, which are the larger units, are located in the penthouse area machine room where the larger number of mechanical systems, fan units and pumps exist. The MCC's are rated typically at 600 V and provide controlled power to pump, fan and various mechanical equipment via combination starter/disconnect cubicles installed within the MCC cabinets. MCC's are fed via the main 600 V distribution board via 600 V bus ducts which are original to the facility (1976). MCC's are also noted to be of original construction of the facility. MCC #3 is fed via the emergency power system.
 
GOC991599 Provisions of Duty-Standby Arrangement to Chiller Secondary and Primary Pumps:
P‐303 serving the Vent unit S101 with standby‐duty arrangement set of pumps with variable frequency drive VFD motor , P‐324 serving the floor AHUs with standby‐duty arrangement set of pumps . Add backup pump to the condenser and primary chilled water pumps P‐301 & P302A respectively. Replacement will be associated with connecting the new set of pumps of P‐303 to the building automation system. The installation of the standby‐duty and backup pump sets will require a new control sequence for each pump set to regularly alternate pump roles on fixed time period and automatically start the second or lag duty pump to maintain system operation if a pump fails. Accordingly replacement of motor starters , isolation valves and pump accessories would be included. Controls for P‐324 would remain as currently configured. For achieving energy saving, adjust the VFD controls for each of P‐301 & P‐302a to reduce chilled water flow rate to 79l/s and 62.8 l/s respectively.
