Statement of Work/Overview:
 
GENERAL SCOPE (GOC375683):
A brief description of the scope of work is as follows:
 
1. 58BApplying for plumbing permit with the City of Sarnia including payment of all associated fees and charges (permit, water testing, ESA inspection, right of way, water tie-in, etc.).
2. Excavation and backfilling in two separate paved locations for demolition of existing water main and provision of new water main.
3. Removing of all waste material from site and depositing it as per applicable codes, standards and authorities having jurisdiction and payment of all associated fees and charges.
4. Provision of heating equipment as required to allow work in cold weather and curing of paving material.
5. Provision of gate valves, valve box, check valves, backflow preventer assembly, buried piping, above ground domestic water piping and standpipe piping inside and outside of the building.
6. Associated cutting, patching and painting.
7. Demolition of water meter assembly and provision of required modifications to have a fully functional system.
8. Modifying the existing steel platform to facilitate installation of the new piping and water meter assembly.
9. Provision of temporary fencing, hording, rail guarding, signage and screening to protect pedestrian and vehicular traffic from construction areas, and provision of heavy duty fall protection cross-over cover plates to cover ground openings. Cover plates shall be suitable for anticipated traffic load i.e. pedestrian traffic, construction traffic, heavy vehicular traffic, etc. as applicable.
