GOC788318-CS - GOC788318-CS - Bedford Row Exterior Cleaning - Consulting Phase

The Dominion Public Building is located at 1713 Bedford Row, Halifax, NS and was constructed in 1935-1937. It is a Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) owned asset and operated by BGIS. It is a multi-story office building providing 11,247.1 m2 of space and occupied by PSPC. The sand stone Façade has been stained by prolonged exposure to ambient air pollution.

The project objective is to proceed with a Project Plan, Feasibility Study and a long form asset based Investment Analysis Report (IAR) this fiscal year to obtain approval on a recommended approach (see requirements document regarding the requirement for an environmental evaluation report based on the process that is recommended). We will proceed with plans and specifications and implementation following IAR approval. Please see the Statement of Work (SOW) for additional details and scheduling outline. The main objective of this project is to provide greener options and execute an approved approach that obtains the best environmental, cost and results based solution to clean and remove harmful debris, and staining from the heritage building located at 1713 Bedford Row, Halifax, NS.
