Scope of Work/Overview:
General Notes for both Projects

Both are for the same site, overlapping locations
Both electrical projects are being tendered together as coordination will be required by the successful contractor for the multiple electrical shutdowns required over a prolonged period to minimize client disruptions
Tender Ready Plans and specs were completed in 2021 and both were put on hold
Funding has now been approved to move to construction. The consultant has updated their 2021 Tender Ready plans and specs
The main discipline is Electrical with some mechanical. Architectural and structural support

GOC1831228 – Replace Main Building Switchboards
Replace buildings 1 and 5 main switchboards to bring up to code and provide 20% spare capacity
Updated consultant Class A construction estimate : $451,950

GOC1831229 – KC01,2,3,4,5 – Replace Branch Circuit Panels
Replace the original 120/208V, & 347/600V branch circuit and distribution panels in buildings KC01-5 with new panels to meet code.
Updated consultant Class A construction estimate : $690,000

Event Note

Please arrive early to get through Security. Photo ID and clearances are required. Bidders are advised that there will be a MANDATORY site visit to be held on the date specified within item 2.6.15. A maximum of one representative of each Bidder or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the MANDATORY site visit. Attendees will meet the BGIS Project Manager Mike Francis at the security desk of 1 Haanel Dr, Ottawa, ON. Site visits will be conducted in small groups.
