Description

Provide a Base Bid Price for the combined scope of work for the relocation of electrical floor boxes, as well as supply/installation of new electrical sub-panels to suit expanded FTE count. Scope also includes removal/installation of carpet to allow for new workstation replacement in section of office space located on Level 2. Painting as indicated on drawings in office space located on Level 2. Work is located at the Taxation Data Centre, located at 1050 Notre Dame Ave., Sudbury ON.

Refer to consultant generated plans and specifications for further detailed scope of work.

*Please note:
- Scope does NOT include removal/installation of any workstations themselves. Such work will be done by others, but successful GC for this tender will be required to assume ‘Constructor’ role for site (which will consist of separate vendors who will require access to the site for i) removal of existing workstations, and ii) installation of new workstations).
- Scope does NOT include for any communications work. This will be performed by others.
- All work (Associated with Phases 1 & 2) must to be completed by December 31, 2024. For the remainder of the work, all remaining phases are to be completed by May 2, 2025.

*Anticipated award date: October 21, 2024.
*Anticipated construction end date: May 2, 2025.

Attendees will meet the BGIS representative at the Building (1050 Notre Dame Ave., Sudbury, ON). *Bidders are advised that they must preregister via email, and on behalf of their authorized representative or their authorized representatives including sub-contractors, to the procurement specialist Rajesh.Gupta@bgis.com by September 27, 2024 before 3PM to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Bidder’s representative(s) being refused access to the site.

All respondents must submit their questions for clarification on this portal only at www.bgis.merx.com. Request for clarification delivered by any other method will not be accepted.

Check section 5.3.4. in Invitation to Tender (ITT) document for ‘Mandatory Requirements’
Bids submitted at $100,000 or greater must upload the following bid security (“Bid Security”) in Merx:

a bid bond in a commercially reasonable form or an irrevocable standby letter of credit issued by a financial institution authorized to conduct business in Canada as a Schedule I or Schedule II chartered bank in the amount of at least 10% of the Bid Price and that shall be in effect until forty-five (45) calendar days following Closing Date; and
a confirmation from the Bidder’s surety (a performance bond and labor and materials payment bond, each in the amount of 50% of the Contract Price + Value Added Taxes) that, upon the Bidder being selected as the Selected Bidder, to furnish any contract security prescribed in the Contract in respect of the Work.
