GOC3958289 - RFPQ - GOC3958289 - Utility Meter Replacement - Request for Pre-Qualification (RFPQ)

Replace the following 3 meters :

1 main steam meter from UofM to be replaced with E+H Prowirl F 200 series Vortex Flowmeter as per the utility meter specs provided by University of Manitoba.
1 main condensate Meter from UofM to be replaced with E+H Prowirl Vortex Flowmeter as per the utility meter specs provided by University of Manitoba.
1 main chilled water meter from UofM to be replaced with E+H Promag W 400 series Electromagnetic Flowmeter as per specs the utility meter specs provided by University of Manitoba.
Installation of prerequisite sensors for above 3 meters.
Installation of Direct Digital Computer (DDC) to interface with the Energy Flow computers (Steam, Chilled water & Condensate).

The specs and the supplier have been specified by U.of M. and are reflected in the IFT Tender Package.

Installation of additional backflow valves, as specified in the IFT Tender Package.

As per UofM requirements we require Axon Automation to perform configuration and verification.  Axon is the one who set up the radio frequency system at the UofM so they are required as a subtrade to perform setup and commissioning services including setup of the radio transmitter.

As part of commissioning the contractor is to coordinate with DFO operator and UofM physical plant to verify output signals are being received.  

Existing wiring may be reused between metering devices. All metering devices except for temperature sensors must be replaced. Temperature sensors do not need to be replaced so long as calibration is verified during meter commissioning. 
Please mount these displays in locations where BGIS staff can easily read them.  They can be mounted in the vicinity of the meters.

Project execution shall take place during the University of Manitoba’s planned steam shutdown, scheduled for June 12th to Jun 20th, 2022.
