This Notice of Proposed Procurement (NPP) is an advisory to the industry for the upcoming RFPQ
that BGIS will be issuing for a General Contractor to provide construction services for the TS - St.
Stephen FP PIL Booths and Gates project at 204 Milltown BLVD, St. Stephen, NB.
The general scope of work includes but is not necessarily limited to the following:
A. Hoarding construction and pathway identification/tunnel construction associated with each of the phases of the work.
B. Provision of temporary lighting, as defined to an accessibility standard.
C. Temporary and bilingual signage is required for all phases of the work.
D. Complete all specified administrative requirements.
E. Commissioning (Cx) of the work is an imperative, with the tracking of specific removed items, identified on provided forms. Similarly, new items as specified/required are to be identified on forms.
F. Patch any/all openings with materials to match existing created by associated electrical/mechanical work.
G. Provision of temporary, powered, emitter posts for continued operation.
H. Provision of temporary K-Rails to protect temporary emitter posts.
I. Remove all redundant mechanical and electrical and communications, wiring and equipment unless directed otherwise by BGIS Project Manager.
J. Install electrical conduit associated with Canopy 1 and Canopy 2 prior to the painting of the canopies
K. Access to and from the active construction site to be marshaled in strict cooperation with the operations of the border crossing and its officials.
L. Coordinate with BGIS Project Manager, and CBSA Representative(s) and Perceptics (cameras/strobes/sensors/etc.), for continued operation of power for temporary and new equipment.
M. All structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and site work elements associated with the PIL Booth Replacement are to be coordinated and incorporated into the phasing.
