Description

Consulting services for the full demolition and fit-up of the cafeteria space which will result in the highest degree of functionality and flexibility in the cafeteria areas. A new purpose-built environment will allow for an improved kitchen and dining facility for staff with a space allowing flexibility for training, town hall meetings, and other large gatherings either by use of the entire space or a demised space using a retractable wall system. New kitchen facilities and furnishings will better serve the day to day needs of the employees. NOTE – refer to Appendix D for design brief prepared by BGIS TFMS outlining client expectations for millwork, finishes and colour selections.

All respondents must submit their questions for clarification on this portal only at www.bgis.merx.com. Request for clarification delivered by any other method will not be accepted.

Consultant site visit prior to submittal is not mandatory or scheduled for this project. Should proponent require a formal site visit, arrangements are to be made. Notification 72 hours prior to addenda deadline, and prior to visit date is required. Consultant to have RCMP Reliability clearance, existing drawings are to be considered not available other than room outlines. Sanitized information only (no indicators of client on drawings, or in specification).
Although project category does not require IAR submittal consultant will be required to present design with estimates. Class D, along with updated class C-B estimates will be required through design development with Class A estimate available prior to tender.

Please submit Technical Proposal in the format specified and in compliance with the page count stated in table 4.9 “Total Page/Weight”. Information provided on pages beyond the stated limit will not be reviewed and evaluated. BGIS will count from the first page of the Technical Proposal (excluding Mandatory Requirements) until the total number of pages allowed is reached. BGIS will not review any pages that exceed the limit. Mandatory Requirement should be submitted as the first document(s) in the Technical Proposal but shall be excluded in the page count.
