Description

The project will implement a more thorough investigation of the openings to understand where the water infiltration is occurring and implement the necessary short-term measures to prevent future leaks from occurring. The project will also increase the size of the openings (as needed) to remove (or clean) the remaining mold-affected materials after which the openings will be closed. All mold contaminated materials must be removed and walls repaired. Mold remediation work should be performed in accordance with applicable industry standards and should take into account the potential presence of asbestos in drywall joints that may be disturbed by the removal work. * Non-porous materials where mold is detected, such as metal studs and concrete flooring, should be thoroughly disinfected in accordance with industry practices before closing wall openings.

As per invitation to tender documents, bidders are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date and times specified within the item 2.6.15 Attendees will meet the BGIS
Representative at the 15 Eddy, sign-in desk room 143, Gatineau, Qc. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Bidders are advised that they must preregister via email to (chady.moussa@bgis.com) by October 25, 2021 before 2:00 PM to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Bidder’s Representative being refused access to the site. All individuals attending the site visit must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses, etc. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site. All individuals are to follow Federal and Provincial guidelines as they relate to Covid 19 preventative measures.
