GOC1784118-CS - Parking Lot Upgrade and Landscaping - Consulting Services

419 Range Road is currently known as the Takhini Complex and shares its site with the workshops/warehouses as well as a Quonset hut and outdoor storage garages and compounds at 421 Range Road. It was constructed in 1952 as part of the Takhini Military Base. It originally served as a barrack block with a specific construction style used by the Canadian military in the late 1940’s to early 1950’s. The building later became known as the Northwest Highway System Headquarters.

The intent of the project is to replace the parking lot area and landscaping based upon investigation and the recommended solution presented in an Investment Analysis developed by the consultant. The parking area has several critical issues that require attention. Given the degree of the issues, a full parking lot replacement is seen as the potential solution to adequately address them.
