THIS PROCUREMENT HAS SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

Scope of Work/Overview:
The Wilron electric fire pump is 27 years old and reaching the end of its useful life. The pump met the original performance criteria during the pump performance test back in June 2019 but has had periodic leaks within the past 5 years requiring several repairs. The scope of this project includes the evaluation of the pressure and water supply flow rate required for the fire protection system serving RCMP HQ 'B' bldg., and to provide a new fire pump and a jockey pump of adequate size. Also included are the evaluation of redundancy requirements, pump area service clearances, and associated components including but not limited to; piping, controls, valves, pressure sensing ports, transfer switch, etc., replacing as required to ensure optimum performance. All required work shall be in accordance with NBC, NFC, NFPA 20 and applicable codes and standards.

Confirmation of intent to attend the optional site visit must be sent by email a list of attendees to Shelley.Demont@bgis.com no later than 4:00 PM NST/NDT, on the business day prior to the Optional Site Visit.
A maximum of one representative of each Bidder, or its authorized representative, is permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Site visits will be conducted in small groups.
Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site. COVID-19 Site Specific Safety Plans and social distancing must be adhered to. Masks must be worn for the duration of the site visit.
