Description

The consultant will review the fall arrest system currently installed on the roof of 25 Eddy 9th Floor & 10 Wellington (9th and 22nd Floor), at the cooling tower fans level. The consultant must provide full condition and confirm layout of the roof anchors, lifelines and other elements for the fall arrest system. All systems need to be reviewed on site. The consultant must test ALL ELEMENTS including but not limited to the fall arrest system for lifelines, anchors. Any issues or elements that do not satisfy the code requirements are to be noted and addressed during construction. Any remediation or recommended alterations are to be proposed. The fall arrest system must be reinstalled in a way that it will remove all health and safety issues to prevent any potential injuries. NB: All fall arrest system must be fully tested after correctives (NO EXCEPTIONS).

Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative at the BGIS office at 25 Eddy, Gatineau, Quebec.
Proponents are advised that they must preregister via email to
(Chady.Moussa@bgis.com) to be authorized to access the site.
Failure to register may result in the Proponents representative being refused access to the site.
BGIS will contact all Proponents that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there
are multiple site visit times. Proponents are required to attend any mandatory site visits to be eligible
to bid. All individuals attending the site visit must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses. Individuals without the appropriate
PPE will not be permitted to access the site.

Additional Bidding Instructions

BGIS would like to bring your attention to the following section of the RFP Lite. The limit of pages that will be evaluated for this project is 9 pages. Any bid response that exceeds the 9-page limit will only have the first 9 pages of the submission evaluated.

3.3.1 Proponents shall respond to the Mandatory and Rated Requirements outlined in Part 4 – Proposal Submission Requirements and present their Technical Proposal in the format specified and in compliance with the page count stated in table 4.9 “Total Page/Weight”. Information provided on pages beyond the stated limit will not be reviewed and evaluated. BGIS will count from the first page of the Technical Proposal (excluding Mandatory Requirements) until the total number of pages allowed is reached. BGIS will not review any pages that exceed the limit. Mandatory requirements should be submitted as the first document(s) in the Technical Proposal but shall be excluded in the page count.
