GOC3158839 - CT - Investigate & Mitigate Roof Runoff & Sidewalk Water Ponding Issues

THIS PROCUREMENT HAS SECURITY REQUIREMENTS
The roof drainage at this facility is not ideal as presently configured and presents the problem of excessive water running off the roof and onto the main walkway on the south facing side of the facility; which leads to the building main entrance. During wet weather, this significant water runoff from the roof falls onto visitors entering the building.  In the winter months this runoff quickly turns to ice making the walkway very slippery and hard to maintain for safety, as well, the eaves-trough blocks up with huge icicles both of which are huge potential safety hazards.  BGIS requirement that an investigation and Analysis be performed, with a report containing costed options as well as a primary recommendation to be presented to BGIS. Once these options and recommendations have been presented to BGIS, BGIS will then send the report to our client for discussion and direction as to how they want to proceed forward. Once an option has been mutually agreed upon, completion of design phase is intended to proceed forward which will lead into construction phase activities for the purposes of implementing the approved (by BGIS) design.
