Description

Fire evacuation plans shall be updated throughout the complex; all four buildings. The floor plans shall be reviewed for accuracy on all levels and updated as required due to numerous renovations and modifications. Fire evacuation plans shall be installed at exits and all areas as required by code. Plans shall be highly visible for people with vision impairments, the following shall be considered but is not limited to; font size and type, symbol size, high contrast background against the text, etc. The plans shall identify, but not limited to; the location of all fire escapes, fire exits, stairways, elevating devices, main corridors and other means of exit, location of all fire protection equipment, areas of refuge (if applicable), location of first aid kits, emergency number, location of gathering areas surrounding the building on a key plan including written instructions. Symbols between different categories (ex: exits vs fire protection equipment) shall be identified by separate colors. Documents shall be in both official languages; French and English. The fire evacuation plans shall be completed as per the latest codes and standards and shall be resubmitted to the local Fire Department for approval.

Proponents are advised that they MUST pre-register via email to Chady.Moussa@bgis.com before August 3th at 2pm EST to be authorized to access the site.

Failure to pre-register will result in the Proponent’s Representative being refused access to the site.

BGIS will contact all Proponents that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times.

A maximum of one representative of each Proponent, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the site visit.

Additional Bidding Instructions

BGIS would like to bring your attention to the following section of the RFP Lite. The limit of pages that will be evaluated for this project is 9 pages. Any bid response that exceeds the 9-page limit will only have the first 9 pages of the submission evaluated.

3.3.1 Proponents shall respond to the Mandatory and Rated Requirements outlined in Part 4 – Proposal Submission Requirements and present their Technical Proposal in the format specified and in compliance with the page count stated in table 4.9 “Total Page/Weight”. Information provided on pages beyond the stated limit will not be reviewed and evaluated. BGIS will count from the first page of the Technical Proposal (excluding Mandatory Requirements) until the total number of pages allowed is reached. BGIS will not review any pages that exceed the limit. Mandatory requirements should be submitted as the first document(s) in the Technical Proposal but shall be excluded in the page count.
