The initiative consists of maintaining a national inventory of pressure piping systems and the requirements and priorities for testing the systems based on age, fluid type, wall thickness, operating conditions, etc. and if required, establish baselines. Ultrasonic & Radiography testing services is required. The consultant shall carry out a detailed and thorough site investigation and inspection of the pressure piping system in order to outline all of the pressure piping in the building. All the findings from the site investigation and inspection shall be provided in a detail report with pictures and floor plans, tables etc. In the report the consultant shall include sections on code analysis, clearly identifying the codes and standards that apply to federal buildings pressure piping systems and clearly identify any dificiences with the pressure piping system as per the codes and standards. The report shall also clearly include all the consultants recommendation with cost estimates. Consultant to provide an up-to-date mechanical flow diagram and to include all pressure piping systems. Consultant to create a CAD baseline files for the pressure piping system with proper identification. This piping study must cover heating, chilled water, steam and fire protection systems for testing. Consultant to carry along with 3rd party testing provider an Abatement Contractor for the testing points. Abatement contractor must assume it's a Type 3 operations when dealing with insulations around pipes for testing purposes. Abatement Contractor is reponsible to repair any insulations around pipes and to maintain clean sites at all times(ensure air monitoring is included).
