The objective of the ESAP Building in Conversion Project (BCP) is to replace existing mechanical equipment, heat exchangers, pumps, valves, etc. Along the heating loop, convert steam feed humidifiers to electric as well the conversion of the cooling loop from direct to indirect. This building conversion was mandated by the Government of Canada (GoC) as part of the initiatives outlined in the 2016 Federal Budget. Eventually, over 80 buildings in the NCR will be required to meet the objectives of ESAP.
