Statement of Work/Overview:

Provide a Base Bid Price for the electrical contracting services regarding the installation of 289 (Two Hundred Eighty-Nine) re-used Haworth workstations (and electrical panel upgrades) at the Taxation Data Centre, located at 1050 Notre Dame Ave., Sudbury ON. Scope of work consists of:

Phase 1 – Level 2 (Finance Area): Disconnect power, remove data/voice of existing workstations, and associated connection of new power/data/voice (as identified in tender package) for 10 (Ten) team lead workstations & 92 (Ninety-Two) 6’ x 6’ employee workstations. Total of 102 (One Hundred Two) workstations.
Phase 2 – Level 3 (IT & Collections Area): Removal of existing floor boxes, and provide/install new floor boxes, power feeds and new floor receptacles (as identified in tender package) for 6 (Six) team lead workstations & 91 (Ninety-One) 6’ x 6’ employee workstations. Total of 97 (Ninety-Seven) workstations.
Phase 3 – Level 2 (Compliance Area): Disconnect power, remove data/voice of existing workstations, and associated connection of new power/data/voice (as identified in tender package) for 7 (Seven) team lead workstations & 83 (Eighty-Three) 6’ x 6’ workstations (of which 41 will be L-shaped desks). Total of 90 (Ninety) workstations.
Electrical contractor to remove existing electrical panels (PP3, PP3(1) and PP3(2) for Phase 1), as well as (PP4 for Phase 3) and supply and install with new (per tender drawings).
Electrical contractor shall arrange, pay for and obtain all applicable ESA permits (non-Building permits).

Refer to consultant generated plans and specifications for further detailed scope of work.
Electrical contractor is expected to work in conjunction with a (BGIS separately hired) furniture installer, as well as CRA own forces (including local admin and IT/Voice staff). Refer to breakdown of scope in Attachment 4a for separation of respective contractor roles and responsibilities.

Addendum #1
The following amendment to the Contractor Invitation to Tender documents is considered to form part of the
Contractor ITT document and/or the resulting Agreement, if any.
No consideration will be given for extras and/or changes due to the Supplier not being familiar with the contents
of this Addendum.
Clarification:
1. RE: Instructions to Bidders Document “GOC1728103-02-Invitation to Tender-Electrical
Contractor Install Services”, Section 1. Definitions, Add: 1.24 ‘Constructor’: A person
who undertakes a project for an owner and includes an owner who undertakes all or part
of a project by himself or by more than one employer. The intent of the Occupational
Health and Safety Act is to have one person with overall authority for health and safety
matters on a project. This person is the constructor of the project.”
2. Scope of work for the Electrical Contractor Install Services will include the role and
responsibility of ‘Constructor’ for the full duration of all construction phases and
completion. By submitting a bid submission for this project, the successful proponent
acknowledges ‘Constructor’ title and must enforce appropriate health & safety policies
and practices concerning Ministry of Labour to any and all BGIS hired or other third
party contractor (or sub-contractor) vendors. These will include (but not limited to); i)
Furniture Install Vendor, 2) Shared Services Canada, 3) CRA own forces.
*Although no formal site supervision is required for the successful proponent to oversee
these vendors while on site, the successful proponent will be responsible for ensuring
these vendors adhere to the company’s health & safety policies and best practices for
conducting services at the ‘Place of Work’.

3. RE: “ATTACHMENT 4a-SOW and General Instructions-Electrical Contractor Scope”, Item
v) under Scope of Work, replace with:
v) Electrical contractor shall arrange, pay for and obtain all applicable ESA permits
(INCLUDING Building permits).
4. Refer to TBT Addendum No. 1 attached.
ALL OTHER ITEMS, TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAIN THE SAME.

Site visit is OPTIONAL and it is the bidder’s responsibility to be familiar with the facility and the existing site condition prior to bidding.

A member of the consulting and project management team for the project will be available for the site visit. Proponent attendance is highly recommended to understand nature of scope and timelines for project completion.

Optional Site visit: Monday December 3, 2018 at 1:00 PM ET
