Statement of Work/Overview:

Provide a Base Bid Price for the installation of 289 (Two Hundred Eighty-Nine) re-used Haworth workstations (and misc. architectural scope) at the Taxation Data Centre, located at 1050 Notre Dame Ave., Sudbury ON. Scope of work consists of:

Phase 1 – Level 2 (Finance Area): Installation of 10 (Ten) team lead workstations & 92 (Ninety-Two) 6’ x 6’ employee workstations. Total of 102 (One Hundred Two) workstations.
Phase 2 – Level 3 (IT & Collections Area): Installation of 6 (Six) team lead workstations & 91 (Ninety-One) 6’ x 6’ employee workstations. Total of 97 (Ninety-Seven) workstations.
Phase 3 – Level 2 (Compliance Area): Installation of 7 (Seven) team lead workstations & 83 (Eighty-Three) 6’ x 6’ workstations (of which 41 will be L-shaped desks). Total of 90 (Ninety) workstations.
Furniture installer to supply, elect and remove hoarding of scope of work area (per phase, per tender drawings).
Furniture installer shall arrange, pay for and obtain all applicable building permits (non-ESA permits).
Furniture installer to replace all damaged and/or missing carpet tile (to be provided by owner) per tender drawings and specs, and repair existing T-bar and gypsum ceiling where power poles are removed, make good all ceiling finishes, per tender drawings and specs.

Refer to consultant generated plans and specifications for further detailed scope of work (including CAD file of drawings for layers indicating panel sizes and overall installation guidance).
Furniture Installer is expected to work in conjunction with a (BGIS separately hired) electrical contractor, as well as CRA own forces (including local admin and IT/Voice staff). Refer to breakdown of scope in Attachment 4a for separation of respective contractor roles and responsibilities.

Addendum #1
The following amendment to the Contractor Invitation to Tender documents is considered to form part of the Contractor ITT document and/or the resulting Agreement, if any.
No consideration will be given for extras and/or changes due to the Supplier not being familiar with the contents of this Addendum.
Clarification:
1. RE: Instructions to Bidders Document "GOC1728103-01-Invitation to Tender-Furniture Install Services", Section 1. Definitions, Add: 1.24 ‘Constructor’: A person who undertakes a project for an owner and includes an owner who undertakes all or part of a project by himself or by more than one employer. The intent of the Occupational Health and Safety Act is to have one person with overall authority for health and safety matters on a project. This person is the constructor of the project."
2. Scope of work for the Furniture Installers Services will include abiding by the health & safety policies and provisions as set by the BGIS hired electrical contractor, who will be enforcing the role of ‘Constructor’ for the full duration of all construction phases and completion. By submitting a bid submission for this project, the successful proponent acknowledges to participate in a health & safety training session and/or sign off acknowledgement of the ‘Constructor’s’ health & safety policies, as well as abiding by all applicable policies under the Ministry of Labour for reporting to a ‘Constructor’ at the ‘Place of Work’.

3. RE: "ATTACHMENT 4a-SOW and General Instructions-Furniture Installers Scope", Item v) under Scope of Work, replace with:
v) Furniture installer is not required to arrange, pay for and obtain all applicable building permits.
ALL OTHER ITEMS, TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAIN THE SAME.

Clarification:
1. Proponents must hold at least two (2) years of experience in furniture installation
services.
2. Upon bid submission, Proponents are required to provide two (2) examples of recently
completed furniture installation services (proof of installation of Haworth systems
furniture is desired.)
3. Proponents to provide references of to the two (2) examples of recently completed
furntire installation services. Reference contact details should include: name, title, and
phone number.
Drawings:
4. Refer to attached PDF drawings which indicate screen sizes for most workstations
within each phase. Drawings are PDF versions of CAD files previously issued in Tender
Package.
ALL OTHER ITEMS, TERMS AND CONDITIONS REMAIN THE SAME.

Event Note

Site visit is OPTIONAL and it is the bidder’s responsibility to be familiar with the facility and the existing site condition prior to bidding.

A member of the consulting and project management team for the project will be available for the site visit. Proponent attendance is highly recommended to understand nature of scope and timelines for project completion.
