GOC990167 - CT - GOC990167 - CT - Roof Replacement - Construction Phase in GFY 18_19

Full replacement of existing deteriorated asphalt shingles located on main building 1 storey RCMP detachment, the intent of the project is to protect the integrity of the structures and mitigate the risk of future damage to interior finishes.
 
Supply all materials and labour necessary for new Main Building roof. Scope includes: remove/strip existing shingles, including fasteners and roofing membrane. Inspect sheathing, ensure surface is firm and dry, without ridges, warps or voids and properly fastened. Any damaged sheathing is to be replaced and new asphalt shingle to match as closely as possible with existing. Vent pipes and other accessories projecting through the roof must be in place and roof flashing installed prior to shingling. Install ice and water shield underlay for the entire roof surface including valleys. At eaves, use a starter course of shingles, tabs reversed, overhang 1/2". Install ridges & roof vents prior to shingling, nail as per manufacturer's directions. Shingles to be Architectural style, individually tabbed strip shingle, mineral surfaced asphalt with fiberglass felts, 30 year manufacturer's warranty at a minimum. Contractor is responsible for any damage to the property or building, as a result of construction activities.
 
Drip edge and flashing to be replaced during the course of the roof replacement, color of drip edge to closely match with existing drip edge. Eavestroughs replacement not included in scope of work, contractor responsible to cleaning any debris from eavestroughs. Ridge vents to be installed as part of the roof  installation if not currently installed on the roof. New boots/flashing to be installed for all roof vents/stink pipes along with the new roofing.
