Description

The intent of this project is to procure a consultant who will provide a comprehensive review of the undercurrents tunnel connecting buildings 6,7 to buildings 8,9 via underground means. Isolated water penetrations and structural concerns have been raised requiring further review and observation for life cycle maintenance including but not be limited to code / life safety, mechanical and electrical disruption due to water penetrations and sustainability / longevity of the tunnel used for daily pedestrian travel. Prior structural evaluation suggested that portions of the existing waterproof membrane may be failed allowing water infiltration. As such, conventional concrete repairs were recommended for completion as soon a permitted. The consultant will be required to thoroughly review the tunnel, allowing for applicable sub-consultants and general construction trades required to expose tunnel condition for the purpose of preparing tender ready documentation for full construction implementation.
