Description

Work of this Contract comprises of removing and disposing of the existing concrete steps, existing hand rails and the existing heat tracing cables. A new sub-base will be applied and the formwork for the new concrete stairs shall be placed. New electrical heat tracing cables will be routed throughout the stairs and side walk in front of the stairs, fed from the electrical panel in the parking garage. New conduits between the stairs and existing electrical panel BDP1 in the basement/parking garage will be installed. Existing heat tracing control panel and snow sensor to remain. New heat tracing system will match existing ramp heating system for ease of maintenance. The existing 4 stainless steel handrails shall be removed and 5 new marine grade stainless steel handrails (prefabricated) will be installed. Provide safety hoarding to separate construction area from main access stairs/ramp during construction. Contractor to test (megger) the cable before covering and Consultant to review the results. If the results are not good, GC will stop the concrete pouring until the cables are checked, retested and confirmed acceptable by Consultant. Contractor to document and conduct Flood testing on cables and GFI system before the pour. Provide site photos and performance verification forms signed by Consultant. All work should be completed latest by end July 2018.

If proponents intend to attend the site walkthrough on this date, they MUST confirm attendance by 5:00 PM on Monday April 23, 2018 via e-mail at: Rajesh.Gupta@bgis.com. Photo ID required if attending; If attending, proponents must check in with Security Desk on the date of the visit. (DO NOT INQUIRE WITH THE TENANT)

All Proponents MUST arrive on time and MUST stay for the entire Mandatory Site Visit. Any Proponent that arrives late or does not stay for the entire Mandatory Site Visit Will be considered noncompliant.

In the event that less than three Proponents attend the site tour, BGIS may cancel the solicitation or schedule an alternative site tour.
