Tenant Improvements needed to accommodate 19 FTE.This project construction will be phased as we need the location ready for client move in by end of September. The tenant improvements entail demolition and construction work. The new space will also include a combination of enclosed meeting rooms, privacy, quiet and interview rooms, breakrooms, offices and open workstations. Mechanical may include plumbed breakroom, heat distribution and DDC. Electrical includes data, telephone and wireless hookup.
The key objective in issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) is for BGIS Workplace Solutions Inc. (BGIS WSI), on behalf of Real Property Division (RPD), within the Ministry of Citizens’ Services to seek and select a Construction Manager with the highest level of corporate and individual skills combined with experience in order to provide Construction Management for the completion of project work located at 902 W 16th Street North Vancouver.
The Proposal will be evaluated and rated for the purpose of selecting a Qualified Construction Manager. A more detailed description of the scope of work is provided in Appendix A and Appendix H Drawings.
Working with BGIS WSI and the project Consultant team the successful proponent will initially provide pre-construction services in the development of realistic budget(s) and construction sequencing schedule(s) to meet the required completion dates, provide technical assistance and comments regarding the proposed modifications to the infrastructure and architecture of the respective space(s) already developed in the Issued for Permit / Issued for Construction packages, and act as Construction Manager in the procurement of construction services through the tendering, analysis and award of the tender package(s) and manage all required construction activities as it relates to the overall Work including coordination and engagement of Client mandated sub-trades. The successful Proponent will enter into a “CCDC 5B 2010 Construction Management Contract – for Services and Construction” attached herein.
When a significant portion of the project has been bid, the Proponent may be required to enter into a Stipulated Lump Sum Price to complete the project (as per the provisions set out in the CCDC 5B 2010 Construction Management Contract – for Services and Construction contract).
This RFP is for Construction Manager Services only and should not include any sub-trades.
