GOC990630-CS - Telecommunications Infrastructure Review

Statement of Work/Overview: Identify options that would bring the telecommunications infrastructure(s) closer to, or meet, the requirements of the TIA-569-B building standard, the AINSI/J-STD-607-A grounding and bonding standard and the TIA-568-C.1 cabling standard.  Propose the new concept of a standards compliant telecommunications pathways and spaces infrastructure and potentially a new or addition to existing vertical cabling infrastructure.  This step will include proposing the creation of a building Main Equipment Room(s), with the intent of housing servers belonging to all Federal Departments occupying the building.  The goal, if practicable, would be to abandon any existing dedicated server rooms on assorted floors within the building. It will also propose new Telecom rooms on the renovated floors, for the purpose of housing the occupants' telecommunications cabling and network switches (as a minimum).
