Description

Replace two (2) reciprocating McQuay chillers, model WHR180D‐W, 180T capacity each. Existing chillers use refrigerant R 22. Considerations for new chillers should include efficiency, reliability,
flexibility/cooling redundancy at the IAR stage. Other considerations would include chiller type such as centrifugal rather than reciprocating chillers, along with the selection of a refrigerant to
reduce environmental impact. Associated piping and insulation, VFDs, electrical and control wiring, refrigerant monitoring system replacement, start‐up and commissioning to be included. Two
year Project with Plans & Specs complete year 1 and construction year 2 & 3. Project originally started under Project GOC370794 now requires delivery as a Category III project due to costs
exceeding 1 million.
