Description

The scope of this project includes a complete replacement of the fire alarm system. This includes all panels, annunciators, initiating and signaling devices, conduit and wiring. The scope also includes replace of devices that interface with other ancillary equipment such as building controls, fire dampers, elevators, generators and the sprinkler piping system. Replacement of the sprinkler piping itself is not included in the scope of the project. Architectural elements such as fire stopping wall penetrations, patching and painting drywall is included in the scope of this project. Asbestos abatement is included in each floor and wall penetration. The scope includes the demolition of the existing fire alarm system once the new system have been installed and verified.

Event Note

Bidders are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date and times specified within the item 2.6.15 of the ITT. Attendees will meet the BGIS representative at the front entrance/lobby area of the Henry Larsen Building, 5010-49 Ave, Yellowknife, NT. Bidders will be notified of any changes to the date of the site visit by Addenda. Bidders cannot use a representative from another Bidder as its authorized representative to attend the site visit.

All individuals attending the site visit must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, etc. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.
