DescriptionA - Previous Addendum

.1 Install in-line temperature sensor/transmitters on the hot water supply lines serving the fixture groups, served by the fifteen (15) hot water tanks (HWT). Temperature sensor/transmitters are to be connected/tied into the building’s existing DDC system to monitor domestic hot water (DHW) temperature being delivered to/at the fixture groups to confirm DHW can be delivered to the fixture group at 60°C, as recommended by MD15161.

.2 The existing BAS/DDC system is proprietary and therefore this contractor shall engage and retain the services of Johnson Controls Inc. (JCI) for the controls portion of the project to accomplish all control functions on this project. The Controls contractor (JCI) shall provide all required control devices, components, wiring, activators, ancillaries and controls architecture required to meet the intent of the design document.

.3 Verify that no legionella issues exist with the two (2) “newly-installed” HWT’s (kitchen and locker room), as per the MD15161 standard.
