Work under this Contract comprises, but is not limited to, the provision of all labour, materials, services and equipment necessary upgrade the Direct Digital Control (DDC) system at Elijah Smith Building, Whitehorse, YT, including demolition and construction work, as fully described in the Tender Documents.
Scope of work includes:
- Replace four existing controllers with new building controllers
- See Specification Section 25 90 01 for detailed scope.
The HVAC system must remain operational 24/7 during the entire project duration, including construction phase. Only limited short duration of periods (coordinated with and approved by The Owner) shall be allowed for existing system tie ins with new.
Extended full 2 years parts and labour warranty for the new equipment and controls system shall be included.
As the building must remain open to serve the staff during normal occupied hours all year round, all construction must be planned to accommodate and allow the facility to remain fully functional throughout the renewal construction process. The Contractor shall provide for all necessary temporary equipment (i.e.: rental equipment such as: heating and cooling units, boilers, domestic hot water heaters, various fans, etc.), services, and costs to maintain the building operational and functional for the occupied hours.
