Scope of Work/Overview: Complete base building upgrades to comply with Treasury Board Accessibility Standard for Real Property and CSA B651-23. Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) performed an accessibility audit based on CSA B651-18 standard "Accessible design for the built environment". The audit findings included base building and tenant spaces; however, this project will be focusing on base building areas only. The purpose of the on-site assessment and the subsequent report was to identify the existing condition of the facility, and to provide short-term and medium-term recommendations for upgrades to the facility to increase the level of accessibility for all users. The consultant is to review the existing site conditions and the accessibility audit to identify non-compliance with Treasury Board Accessibility Standard for Real Property and CSA B651-23 standard with a focus on base building areas only. The review shall include all elements that may not have been identified in the audit and do not comply with the current standards. Consultant shall provide a scope of work for upgrades to achieve compliance with the most current legislation or standard for implementation. Correct all deficiencies identified in the Accessibility Audit that cannot be addressed through O&M such as: elevators, doors, walkways, washrooms, entrances, accessible routes, stairs, and flooring. Multiple year project BC/drawings and specifications in Year 1 and construction in Year 2.
All work to be completed February 28, 2025.
