Work of this Contract involves supplying and installing a cooling system for the LAN room
of the Henry Larsen Building, located at 5010 Veterans Memorial Drive in Yellowknife.
For the purpose of this contract the owner will be represented by the Project Manager
appointed by BGIS who will fulfill the role defined for the BGIS Representative in these
specifications.
The work includes but not limited to:
1. Installing two variable supply fans.
2. Supplying and installing an air management mixing box system.
3. Supplying and installing one portable 3.5 kW AC unit.
4. Supplying and installing controls. Controls must be connected to DDC system.
5. Supplying and installing two 15A/1P breakers.
6. Supplying and installing new receptacle.
7. Equipment that will be supplied by BGIS are as follows:
F-1, F-2, MD-1, MD-2, CD-1
8. Install two steel angles on each side of new openings through existing masonry
wall and fasten with approved masonry anchors.
9. Commissioning is provided by the consultant, with the contractor demonstrating to the
consultant through execution of commissioning inspections/functional testing that the
equipment installed operates as designed, the consultant will witness all commissioning
activities.
10. Work includes demolition and removal of all existing materials that are to be replaced in
the above work. Any property or features damaged during the demolition must be
replaced or repaired to its original state. Breakers that are to be removed are returned to
the owner.
11. Remove any waste material off site and dispose of properly.
12. All materials and workmanship must be as per stamped plans and specifications.
