Description

This project would be to replace all different variations of BAS controllers (i.e. vendors, generations and communication protocols) and combine into a single graphical user interface, for both base-building and tenant-equipment.
The intent would be for the consultant to design and implement the necessary requirements to have all controllers and equipment connected to and compatible with the current BAS service provider: Automated Logic (ALC).
Most buildings have already had their main controller replaced by a BACnet controller by ALC.
Consultant shall acquire and submit a points list/file for all different systems, including buildings/systems not already connected to the existing ALC system.
Consultant shall consider removing any pneumatic controls to DDC devices
New system and equipment shall have a non-proprietary design and shall be based on BACnet network, in conformance with PSPC’s Technical Reference for Office Building Design.
Building operations team shall be capable of controlling and monitoring each and every control point from the new system, by using the centralized BAS interface for HVAC.
Existing systems are composed of Automated Logic (ALC), Johnson Controls (JCI), Reliable Controls (REL) and KMC Controls.

Bidders are advised that there will be an MANDATORY site visit to be held on the date specified within the item 1.4.1 of the RFP.

Attendees are to arrive early and meet the BGIS Project Manager Travis Giroux at the main guard desk of 1 Haanel Drive, Ottawa, ON. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. COVID-19 Site Specific Safety Plans and social distancing must be adhered to at all times where possible. Appropriate PPE is a MUST - All individuals attending the site visit must bring their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as: safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses, etc. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.

Bidders are advised that they MUST pre-register via email to priyanka.pai@bgis.com by the pre-registration deadline on this MERX notice before 2:00 PM to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Bidder’s Representative being refused access to the site
