Description

The project would review all potential water ingress paths into the generator room. For each risk identified, consultant to propose risk mitigation measures to prevent, delay and or detect potential ingress of water into this critical room. Mitigation measures to be considered include at a minimum, review of redoing fire stopping at openings watertight system, review the configuration of drain pan (3' high x 40' long) suspended 20' off the floor and currently installed underneath heating piping, rerouting piping outside the generator room, verification of electrical cabinet features safeguarding against water ingress and propose a leak detection system that would isolate and alarm building technicians. Incorporate fixed ladders to access potential isolation valves. In scenarios where piping configuration remains, include a piping UT measurement plan to monitor the condition and deterioration of the heating piping.

Event Note

Bidders are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date and times specified above. A maximum of one representative of each Bidder, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative at Portage IV ( security office ) 140 Promenade du Portage, Gatineau. BGIS will contact all Bidders that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times.
All individuals attending the site visit must bring their Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses, etc. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.
