Description

Work of this contract generally comprises the replacement of the existing
emergency generator and ancillary equipment/systems at the John Cabot
Building located at 10 Barter's Hill, in St. John's, NL as described below.
.2 Removal and disposal of the existing 300 kW emergency generator, exhaust
system, automatic transfer switch, 347/600 distribution board, day
tank, fuel piping, louvres, and other accessories in the penthouse level of the
facility.
.3 Removal and disposal of the existing load bank located at Level 1 exterior,
and fuel pump set located indoors at Level 1.
.4 Removal and disposal of existing conductors from load bank to the penthouse
distribution board.
.5 Supply and installation of a new 350 kW emergency generator on parking
garage roof with a reinforced concrete pad, reconfigured fuel system to feed
the new generator from the existing ground level fuel
tank, and install new chain link fencing.
.6 Supply and installation of new life safety and non-life safety automatic
transfer switches in the former generator room.
.7 Construction of a new 2hr fire rated room in the former penthouse generator

Event Note

Confirmation of intent to attend the optional site visit must be sent by email a list of attendees to Shelley.Demont@bgis.com no later than 12:00 PM AST/ADT, on the business day prior to the Optional Site Visit.
A maximum of one representative of each Bidder, or its authorized representative, is permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Site visits will be conducted in small groups.
Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site. COVID-19 Site Specific Safety Plans and social distancing must be adhered to. Masks must be worn for the duration of the site visit.
