Description

Replace building fire alarm panel (installed in 2004). The building includes an Edwards class B addressable fire alarm system. The main fire alarm panel is an Edwards EST2 32 zone panel located in the main electrical room in the basement. There have been frequent 'false alarms'. All devices must be assessed and ULC certification by a qualified contractor is required. Devices are to be replaced/repaired, if required for ULC certification. Assess the system to ensure it is code compliant (NBCC, NFCC, NFPA, Provincial Codes, etc). This includes, but is not limited to, verifying decibel readings, ensuring washrooms include required bells/alarms/strobes, any annunciator requirements, supply fan shutdowns, elevator recall, proper dial out capabilities, etc.

Confirmation of intent to attend the optional site visit must be sent by email a list of attendees to Shelley.Demont@bgis.com no later than 4:00 PM AST/ADT, on the business day prior to the Optional Site Visit.
A maximum of one representative of each Bidder, or its authorized representative, is permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Site visits will be conducted in small groups.
Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site. COVID-19 Site Specific Safety Plans and social distancing must be adhered to. Masks must be worn for the duration of the site visit.
