Description

Perform upgrade in room 620, 6th floor at 10 Wellington. The consultant must, including but not limited to, review all electrical, mechanical and HVAC to meet codes and standards and client requirements in new IT room security units. Consultant shall design a cooling system independent of base building systems (reference ‘’PSPC Mechanical Design Guidelines, MD 15116-2006 Computer Room Air-Conditioning’’). An Excel spread sheet from the client, documenting all equipment and workstations to be in this room will be provided. The prime consultant must also include a review of a floor study for shelving units, (printers, scanners, etc) already purchased by the clients. A report will be required to include a class D estimate which will need to be approved by the client prior to preparing 66%, 99%, Tender specs & drawings. Please note that the consultant will need to coordinate additional meetings (3) with BGIS and client to review and meet client requirements. The current plans may not reflect the existing conditions and the consultants are responsible to compare on site, survey and correct as required.

Proponents are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date and times specified above. A maximum of one representative of each Proponent, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative at 10 Wellington, 6th floor room 620. BGIS will contact all Bidders that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times.

All individuals attending the site visit must bring their Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses, etc. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.

COVID-19 Site Specific Safety Plans and social distancing must be adhered to. Masks must be worn for the duration of the site visit.

Additional Bidding Instructions

BGIS would like to bring your attention to the following section of the RFP Lite. The limit of pages that will be evaluated for this project is 9 pages. Any bid response that exceeds the 9-page limit will only have the first 9 pages of the submission evaluated.

3.3.1 Proponents shall respond to the Mandatory and Rated Requirements outlined in Part 4 – Proposal Submission Requirements and present their Technical Proposal in the format specified and in compliance with the page count stated in table 4.9 “Total Page/Weight”. Information provided on pages beyond the stated limit will not be reviewed and evaluated. BGIS will count from the first page of the Technical Proposal (excluding Mandatory Requirements) until the total number of pages allowed is reached. BGIS will not review any pages that exceed the limit. Mandatory requirements should be submitted as the first document(s) in the Technical Proposal but shall be excluded in the page count.
