Scope of Work/Overview:
This project will support the Building Performance Initiative (BPI) Program which has been developed to identify low-cost initiatives to reduce utility and maintenance costs and support the sustainability and resiliency of the HVAC system/facilities. This project is part of a multi-year roll out plan to establish remote access, long-term data archiving and Automatic Fault Detection and Diagnostics to 14 PSPC buildings in Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Northwest Territories. The first phase involves the five following buildings.
Remote access to each BAS is to be established using a centralized server and software which will be connected to each building to act as the single front-end access to all the buildings. Storage devices are to be installed in a few of the buildings for long-term data archiving of BGIS trends. The storage devices are to be large enough to allow those without on-site storage to connect to. Automatic Fault Detection and Diagnostics software is to be utilized in order to analyze the trend logs and equipment at each building generating actionable insights which will be implemented by the BGIS Operations staff to improve the performance of the building and reduce operational costs.
