This project will require the routine inspection, inventory, testing, and documentation of required maintenance for the facilities field sprinkler heads, spare sprinkler heads and wrenches. The report requires an exhaustive field sprinkler head inventory and the identification of defective sprinkler heads, an evaluation of the feild sprinkler head suitability for serving in their assigned zones/spaces and the identification of sprinkler heads that require testing or replacement based on age. The inventory of the facilities' field sprinkler heads, spare sprinkler heads and wrenches will include the provisions of NFPA 13 which includes the sprinkler head type and corresponding wrenches. The building field sprinkler head inventory will involve visual inspection in order to produce both a written report and supplemental sprinkler floor plans. The inventory report will follow the requirements of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25 which would include the sprinkler identification number, orifice size, age, deflector type, thermal sensitivity, response type, finish, pressure rating, and the space it services. Furthermore, the inspection would also provide a total building count of sprinkler heads by type and a summary of any sprinkler heads identified as defective or based on age (NFPA 25) that would require further testing and/or replacement.
*Study Only - Physical replacement and maintenance is contingent upon the outcome of this study and is not a part of this project.*
