Description

Project intent is to amalgamate two teams (CFOB Mailroom & IITB) into one space within the mailroom, with a GC workplace modernization upgrade.
Reception desk to be shared between CFOB Mailroom & IITB (IITB will distribute work equipment to new ESDC employees).
Pass through section behind reception and barrier requirement in front of reception to be reviewed.
Secure entrance is relocated into the mailroom.
Minor works include painting the pathway of the mailroom skid, and carpet installation at the individual and collaborative workstations.
Minor construction to move the storage room wall to incorporate a focus room and build walls behind reception desk.
There are currently 14 FTE in the mailroom; 18-20 workstations will be installed

Event Note

Proponents are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date and times specified above. A maximum of one representative of each Proponent, or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative at Portage IV, 140 Prom. du Portage entrance, Gatineau, QC. BGIS will contact all Bidders that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times.

All individuals attending the site visit must bring their Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety shoes/boots, safety vests, hard hats, safety glasses, etc. Individuals without the appropriate PPE will not be permitted to access the site.

COVID-19 Site Specific Safety Plans and social distancing must be adhered to. Masks must be worn for the duration of the site visit.

Additional Bidding Instructions

BGIS would like to bring your attention to the following section of the RFP Lite. The limit of pages that will be evaluated for this project is 9 pages. Any bid response that exceeds the 9-page limit will only have the first 9 pages of the submission evaluated.

3.3.1 Proponents shall respond to the Mandatory and Rated Requirements outlined in Part 4 – Proposal Submission Requirements and present their Technical Proposal in the format specified and in compliance with the page count stated in table 4.9 “Total Page/Weight”. Information provided on pages beyond the stated limit will not be reviewed and evaluated. BGIS will count from the first page of the Technical Proposal (excluding Mandatory Requirements) until the total number of pages allowed is reached. BGIS will not review any pages that exceed the limit. Mandatory requirements should be submitted as the first document(s) in the Technical Proposal but shall be excluded in the page count.
