Project Overview:
Request for Consultant: GOC374042 Existing windows to be removed and replaced, approximately 91. This is a Heritage building and the consultant shall consider a replacement option that will be compatible with the buildings architecture. Consultant shall review replacing the windows with energy efficient type and review different glazing types (sealed units, low-e, etc) without any impact on the building's character.
GOC991181 Remove window A/C units with power supply and replace missing windows.

Bidders are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date specified within the item 1.4.1 of the RFP. A maximum of one representative of each Bidder or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Attendees will meet the BGIS Project Manager Debra Chartrand at 1 Observatory Crescent, Ottawa, ON. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. COVID-19 Site Specific Safety Plans and social distancing must be adhered to at all times where possible. Facial coverings (masks) must be worn by all individuals, and appropriate PPE is a MUST. Bidders are advised that they MUST pre-register via email to priyanka.pai@bgis.com by the pre-registration deadline on this MERX notice before 2:00 PM to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Bidder’s Representative being refused access to the site.

Additional Bidding Instructions

Update: We still count the 9 pages and remove extras, but leave mandatory requirement pages on. As such, BGIS would like to bring your attention to the following section of the RFP Lite:

3.3.1 Proponents shall respond to the Mandatory and Rated Requirements outlined in Part 4 – Proposal Submission Requirements and present their Technical Proposal in the format specified and in compliance with the page count stated in table 4.9 “Total Page/Weight”. Information provided on pages beyond the stated limit will not be reviewed and evaluated. BGIS will count from the first page of the Technical Proposal (excluding Mandatory Requirements) until the total number of pages allowed is reached. BGIS will not review any pages that exceed the limit. Mandatory requirements should be submitted as the first document(s) in the Technical Proposal but shall be excluded in the page count.
