GOC4185300 - CS - Implement Back-up Generator Capability

Implement new generator to service entire building with sub-base fuel tank sized for 48hrs fuel capacity. The fuel tank is to be no less than 900 L and no more than 2,500 liters. An automatic transfer switch shall be installed in a suitable location identified by consultant and agreed upon by BGIS and RCMP. The generator sizing shall be based on carrying the entire building demand load. The maximum demand load (In KWs) shall be determined by a consultant & based on utility bills over a minimum of 3 years. Hence a generator size, in kVA / KW capacity can be determined with sufficient sizing to maintain all systems. Voltage & phasing requirements & power factor shall also be determined by the consultant as part of this project. The engine shall meet applicable environmental standards from the factory and include a cooling system to operate the generator set at full load at appropriate temperatures for local climate. The radiator fan and other rotating engine parts shall be guarded against accidental contact. The air cleaner shall provide engine air filtration which meets the engine manufacturer's specifications under typical operating conditions. Consultant shall work with BGIS and the RCMP client to identify the placement of the concrete slab that will need to be poured to facilitate generator placement.
