Security Clearance: Reliability / DOS

Scope of Work/Overview:
Paint exterior wood surfaces of building including window sills, fascia boards and porch, as identified in the GOC255582 Comprehensive Roof Review performed in fall 2020.
The painted substrates shall be surface prepared appropriately as to not damage the material and provide an even surface. Review and repair any wood rot. This is a Recognized Federal Heritage Building and extra precautions shall be taken.

Proponents are advised that there will be an OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date specified within the item 1.4.1 of the RFP. A maximum of one representative of each Proponent or its authorized representative, are permitted to attend the OPTIONAL site visit. Attendees will meet the BGIS Project Manager Debra Chartrand at 1 Observatory Crescent, Ottawa, ON, at the main guard desk. Please arrive early to get through security. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. COVID-19 Site Specific Safety Plans and social distancing must be adhered to at all times where possible. Facial coverings (masks) must be worn by all individuals, and appropriate PPE is a MUST. Proponents are advised that they MUST pre-register via email to priyanka.pai@bgis.com by the pre-registration deadline on this MERX notice before 2:00 PM to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Proponent’s Representative being refused access to the site.

Failure to pre-register may result in the Bidder’s Representative being refused access to the site. Update: We still count the 9 pages and remove extras, but leave mandatory requirement pages on. As such, BGIS would like to bring your attention to the following section of the RFP Lite:

3.3.1 Proponents shall respond to the Mandatory and Rated Requirements outlined in Part 4 – Proposal Submission Requirements and present their Technical Proposal in the format specified and in compliance with the page count stated in table 4.9 “Total Page/Weight”. Information provided on pages beyond the stated limit will not be reviewed and evaluated. BGIS will count from the first page of the Technical Proposal (excluding Mandatory Requirements) until the total number of pages allowed is reached. BGIS will not review any pages that exceed the limit. Mandatory requirements should be submitted as the first document(s) in the Technical Proposal but shall be excluded in the page count.
