Work of this Contract comprises supply all labour, material, equipment, and supervision
to perform localised repairs of the existing inverted roofing system as described by the
Contract Documents, at the Finance Building, located at 101 Tunney’s Pasture Driveway
in Ottawa, Ontario. The requirements for this contract, not limited to the following, are
listed below:
.1 Temporary removal of stone ballast in localised areas as indicated on Drawings,
as well as metal flashings and accessories not explicitly noted for removal and
disposal, for reinstatement following repair.
.2 In same localised areas, removal and disposal of existing filter fabric, XPS
insulation and asphaltic multi-ply built-up membrane (BUR) to existing concrete
roof deck, as well as expansion joint metal flashings, and all accessories not
explicitly noted as being re-used as part of the new Work. Refer to Section 02 41
19 – Selective Demolition.
.3 Conduct localised roofing repairs and install new accessories as per
Specifications and Drawings.
.4 Reinstate metal flashings where temporarily removed.
.5 Reaffix conduit to parapet counter flashings as required.
.6 Install Sealants in accordance with Section 07 92 00 Joint Sealants.
.7 Dispose of all debris/waste in approved containers, using recycling when
possible, and transfer to Ministry of Environment approved disposal site(s).
.8 Clean Site free of all trace of roofing work and repair or replace any damaged
property to the satisfaction of the Owner and Consultant.
