Description

Elevator maintenance products are generating odors in the elevator lobbies throughout the complex. Indoor air quality (IAQ) testing was conducted to determine the concentration of volatile organic compounds (VOC) in some elevator lobbies. The results from this IAQ testing reveal that heavy paraffinic hydrocarbons were detected in various elevator lobbies. The report recommends that the heavy paraffinic hydrocarbons are linked to lubricants used for elevators. This project consists of investigating the cause of the presence of VOC in elevator lobbies and provide recommendations to reduce the concentration. The investigation shall require a site visit to review the related building systems, including but not limited to, the ventilation systems and elevator systems. The scope of this project shall apply to all the elevators in the Les Terrasses de la Chaudière (LTLDC) complex – 1 Place du Portage, 10 Wellington and 15/25 Eddy. Attendees will meet the BGIS Representative at 15, Eddy Street, Gatineau, Québec, J8X 4B3. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Proponents are advised that they must preregister via email to (Chady.Moussa@bgis.com) by (December 1st, 2020 before2:00 PM) to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Proponents representative being refused access to the site. BGIS will contact all Proponents that register and confirm the site visit time in the case when there are multiple site visit times.

Additional Bidding Instructions

BGIS would like to bring your attention to the following section of the RFP Lite. There is a page count limit for the bid submission to this RFP. The limit of pages that will be evaluated for this project is 9 pages. Any bid response that exceeds the 9-page limit will only have the first 9 pages of the submission evaluated.
3.3.1. Proponents shall respond to the Mandatory and Rated Requirements outlined in Part 4 – Proposal Submission Requirements and present their Technical Proposal in the format specified and in compliance with the page count stated in table 4.9 “Total Page/Weight”. Information provided on pages beyond the stated limit will not be reviewed and evaluated. BGIS will count from the first page of the Proposal and will not review any pages that exceed the limit. Please note that cover pages and mandatory documents would be considered in the mandatory page count.
