ESAP-UBCP – PART 2 - RFPQ FOR A PRIME MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR FOR ESAP-UBCP – PART 2

Background: The objective of Energy Services Acquisition Program – User Building Conversion Program (ESAP-UBCP) is to design and implement the conversion of existing Steam Systems to Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) systems across the National Capital Region (NCR) under the RP1 & RP2 contracts for BGIS. The program also includes changing the District Energy System (DES) chilled water connections from direct to indirect.
Project Scope: The scope of the UBCP includes the installation of heat exchangers (ETS) and associated equipment, pumps, valves, piping and controls systems to limit the distribution of steam to a single point of conversion. The conversion also includes necessary modifications to change the chilled water connections to indirect connections which includes the installation of cooling ETS. The project scope will also include abatement of any hazardous substances effected by demolition or new work. Other ancillary work may be required on a case-by-case basis, notably civil/architectural works. This RFPQ will include the UBCP projects for the five (5) buildings listed in Table 1.3.7.1.
