Description

Installing new, conforming barrier free door actuators where existing are required to be relocated or replaced,
install visual and tactile indicators on existing stairs where worn or non-compliant,
install “swing-clear hinges” on existing doors within a barrier free path of travel where feasible and where the clear width is non-compliant.
replace or modify interior and exterior non-compliant handrails including extensions,
adjust door operators to open and close the door within the code required time,
Install fire alarm strobes in washrooms, public areas and open offices as required to safely alert occupants
in the event of an emergency. This includes required electrical interventions and existing base building finish removal and reinstatement.
Install power door operators at all doors with non-compliant maneuvering area, push/pull clearances and doors requiring more than the maximum force to operate,
install new kitchenette to replace existing in basement.

Bidders are advised that there will be a OPTIONAL site visit to be held on the date specified within the tem 2.6.15 in the ITT. Attendees will meet the BGIS Project Manager in the main lobby of Saint Andrews Tower. Site visits will be conducted in small groups. Bidders are advised that they must preregister via email to Abeera.Akram@bgis.com by September 4, 2020 2:00PM to be authorized to access the site. Failure to register may result in the Bidder’s Representative being refused access to the site.
