Description

The intent of this urgent project is to restore damaged areas caused by the 4th floor washroom flood
when all impacted drywall in stairwells was removed due to the presence of E.coli. Exposed exit
stairwells present structural and fire safety issues. Exposed rebar and multiple penetrations allowing
smoke and fire to pass, were uncovered during the emergency project and need to be mitigated.
Architectural items to review include (but not limited to): fire protection from the 3rd to ground floors as
well as all finishes to reinstate original condition of the stairwell. Electrical items to review include (but
not limited to): replacement/refurbishment of three (3) electrical panels affected on the floor below. The
electrical panels need to be refurbished/repaired as the risk of corrosion is present. Mechanical items to review include (but not limited to): insulation around the conduits located in the damaged areas and the condition of all conduits.
