The project scope includes the replacement of 3 fire alarm panels, one annunciator panel and a majority of the buildings initiating and signaling devices. The system will be brought up to current building and accessibility codes by relocating all manual pull stations to the appropriate height and adding some new devices in the kitchen area as well as in the vicinity of the roof access hatch area. The project will include all interlocks with ancillary equipment such as the building HVAC, door shutters, and monitoring company dial out equipment. The new system is to be a fully addressable.
The scope will include all electrical power requirements including installation of conduit, wiring and termination into electrical panels. Any structural requirements such as wall backing to support new panels, are included within the scope. Firestopping of wall/floor penetrations are included.
In an attempt to minimise disruption, the new panels will be installed alongside existing panels first. Once the new system is installed and commissioned, the existing system will then be demolished.
