Description

1. 1. The Advocate Consultant will be required to acknowledge receipt of correspondence from BGIS within 24 hours.
  2. The Advocate Consultant (AC) will be informed by reading the project documentation listed below to be familiar with the progress of the project during the length of their contract and extract new or revised project requirements to assess the implications to the project. Note any information that could contradict or cause issues with the known objectives of the project. Confirm with BGIS by email that the information has been read, understood and outline any implications to be considered going forward.
  3. The Advocate Consultant is responsible for providing a competent non-subjective review of the project documentation completed by the Prime Consultant (PC), the Construction Manager (CM) and the Environmental Consultant (EC). The Advocate Consultant will not have a direct relationship with these entities and will not share the liability for the design. All communications will be between BGIS & the AC as a third-party reviewer.
  4. To enable the Advocate Consultant to perform a competent review, they may engage but not be limited to the following specialties/disciplines as it relates to the project’s scope of work:
    1. Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Landscaping, Acoustical, Audio Visual, Sustainability Consulting (LEED, Green Globes, WELL, health & wellness, etc.), Heritage Conservation, BIM Consulting, Hardware Consulting, Interior Design, Lighting Design Consulting, Security Consulting, Building Security & Communications Systems Consulting, Traffic Consulting, Vertical Transportation Consulting, Code Review Consulting, Graphic Design and Signage, and Smart Building & Network Consulting.
